The end results...
We finally got around to carving pumpkins the day before Halloween. Things have been so crazy busy lately, but hey we did it :). Unfortunately, the only time we could fit it in was while Dave was at work :(. Not to mention all the kids where fighting and being ornery. Once we got started, everyone started to help each other...
Dax helped Dawson get the top off his pumpkin...
Then he helped Jada get the top of of hers...

And I scrapped and cleaned the guts out of everyone's...
This is my fun job i get to do for everyone each year :)
It's funny how a fun activity can change everyone's attitudes. By the end, everyone was happy and being nice to each other. It made me happy to see them help each other with their pumpkins.

This is the first year we let Dawson cut his own pumpkin. I was worried it wouldn't go to well, and that he would freak out. Well when Dawson had his eyes cut, he started to freak out because they didn't look the same. My fear had come true :(. We all kept telling him how cool they looked. He even tried smashing his pumpkin on the floor, because he thought it looked so dumb. After a couple of minutes, he finally decided we were right. It did look cool! So good job Dawson on your awesome pumpkin, and good job to me... disaster averted :).
Thank goodness there was happiness in the end...
