*** Happy 13th Birthday Daxton ***

Well it is official.... We have a teenager! Yesterday, July 18th Daxton turned the big 13. I am a bit worried about all the changes that come with a teenager. I hope Daxton's teen years won't be to bad, he has been a great kid!!! We did not really celebrate to much yet, because we have been having a family reunion with my side of the family. So we will have him a party in a few days. I will have to post pictures of his real party when we have it.

I am so grateful for Dax, he is such a great help in my life. He is very mature, and a great babysitter! It has been awesome to have a built in babysitter. We never worry about leaving him in charge. Daxton is such a happy, fun guy. He has filled our lives with so many great memories! Dax is always the first to make sure that I am okay if I am sad, and he is always the first to tell me I look good. Boy is he going to make a great boyfriend, and husband some day! Dax is a very funny guy, and a great guitar player. He has so many talents that he has been blessed with.

On his birthday, he wanted to stop at Bert Murdock music, to check it out. He had never been to it before. They let him choose a guitar to try. Here is the guitar he choose. It only costs $1500.oo. He is going to have to save his money for awhile. It sure was a nice guitar! He was in heaven. He said it made his day to be able to play it. He is so cute!

Daxton playing the Les Paul of his dreams!

In the evening we had a picnic for part of our reunion, so I brought some cupcakes for Dax's birthday. We gave him one present that day, and saved the rest for his party. The one present about killed me to buy it for him. I absolutely hate it...but I decided he loved them, so I finally broke down and bought him one. Can you guess what it was from the first picture on this post? He wanted a Fedora Hat (is that how you spell that?). Anyway, he was dang excited. He had wanted one for a very long time, and I just could not bring myself to let him get one. I must admit he looks cute in it. Anyway, here are some pictures from his little family reunion party!

Everyone having the picnic!

Dax Blowing out his candles!

Dax opening his present, he was so excited!

Lookin' good!

All our cute kids! Notice Dawson striking a pose again....

Love this picture of Dax & Dave!

Everyone kept trying to get Dax to throw his hat in the air and catch it on his head,
He almost got it!

We had a great time! I just want Daxton to know how much we love him. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. He is a wonderful son, and we are so proud of him! Luv ya tons Dax!!!

**** Happy Birthday to my Honey ****

Here are a few new posts from our life!!!

First today is Dave's birthday. He is the big "40"! He thinks he is so old, but truthfully I think he is so dang good looking! In fact I think he is better looking now than when we first met.

I just wanted to tell Dave Happy Birthday!!! I wish he wasn't at work today, but we will celebrate tonight. Dave is the best! He is the most selfless person I know. He would do anything for anybody. He gives all he has to the kids and I, including working 2 jobs to support us. Dave is a wonderful husband, and an awesome father. I am so grateful for all he does for us. We are so blessed!

Don't worry Dave, I am not that far behind you!

Here are a few pictures of Dave over the past few years.....

Happy Birthday Dave!!! I love you!

Bye.....Bye.....Forever!!

Well it is official. My baby is not a baby anymore :(. Dawson has finally given up his binky! It has now been 12 days. I know it is crazy...I really thought he would be taking it with him to Kindergarten. I have to admit it was probably more me than Dawson, that would not give it up. It stopped fits in second flat. It was truly an amazing thing to see. So it was for my benefit that he still had it at 3 yrs old. The crazy thing is that his fits have become fewer since we got rid of it.

I have to say it is bitter sweet for me! I know that seems crazy, but he is my last. This just makes it official that I no longer have a baby :(. I guess this just means it is that time in my life to move on to another stage.

It is really funny how it all came about. Dawson chewed up all the Binky's we had, and I did not want to buy anymore. So I said, "sorry you chewed them all up, and the store will only let you buy Binky's if you have a baby. You are not a baby anymore, so they won't let us buy any." He took my word for it. I could not believe it. He asks for it every once in a while, but I just remind him that the store won't let us buy anymore.

The evidence....See how he chewed it up!

Good job Dawson!!! I love ya!

*** Happy Fourth of July 2009 ****

We had a great, relaxing 4th of July! With the exception of the absence of our favorite family the Conders :(. We almost always spend the 4th with my sister Beckys family (the Conders), and maybe a few other members of my family. However this year Becky was in Europe with her 2 daughters over the 4th. We really missed them :(. We did manage to have a good time with just our little family, and a few neighbors in the evening.

First our day started out with everyone in our family sleeping in until 10 am! It felt great :). We usually get up early and go to the Hot Air Balloon Festival, and or the Parade. We decided not to do those things this year, and it was so nice to sleep in. We slowly got ready for the day, and decided to go down to the booths in Provo. We walked around and checked them all out. The kids got some balloons, sno cones, and sunglasses. There was a booth with $5 dollar sunglasses so Dax, Jada, Brayden and I all got a new pair of sunglasses! I love them, but we will have to see how long they last. Who knows....sometimes the cheep ones last the longest.

After the booths, we went to my Mom's, and she had a BBQ for us. It was an early dinner. It was yummy, and very relaxing. The kids played with toys, and Dave and I visited with my Mom. It was very different from having about 40 other people there at the same time. There are 10 kids in my family, so there is usually alot of others around. I really enjoyed the time with my Mom!

Then we came home relaxed some more, and then decided to do fireworks. We ended up doing them with some of our neighbors. Can I just say how much I love our neighborhood. It is the best! Neighbors don't come much better than ours. We had such a great time with them!!

I forgot to take my camera with me during the day, so I took lots of night pictures while we did fireworks.

We did fireworks with the Woods, Vegas, Perrys and the Rowleys. It was so much fun. Everyone brought their fireworks, and we did them together. It makes it so much more fun to combine fireworks, and be with good friends!

My cute neighbor Barbara! She is so much fun!

Daves friend from work gave him a few illegal fireworks. They were really cool! Dave even drilled the launching tube to a piece of wood so it didn't fall over. Thanks to Daves friend Chad! It made our 4th a little more fun!!

Here is Dave lighting one of the BIG fireworks!

My guys... the pyro's!

Jada and Dawson decided just to watch, and not to light the fireworks!

I love this picture of Dawson with the firework shooting in front of him!

My cute Jada Babe!

Dave & I

The boys had so much fun lighting the fireworks!

Dawson always has to strike a pose!

Do you remember the "Snake" fireworks? I loved these as a kid. My kids loved them!!

Happy Fourth of July!!
