Daxton's 9th Grade Guitar Concert

November 2, 2010

Daxton 14 yrs old

Daxton had his first 9th Grade Guitar Concert, and it was like pulling teeth to get some pictures of him. He was getting so mad at me. He even chased me through the parking lot to get the camera and erase some of the pictures. He is so funny!

He was really mad at me for yelling to his friends to come get in a picture. He kept telling his friends they didn't have to be in it, but they were more than happy to let me get a picture. Glad that Kresten and Gavin will let me take pictures.

Daxton did a great job!! He is getting so good. He is even teaching lessons to 4 people right now, one of which is our Bishop :). Way to go Dax... we are so proud of you!! Love ya buddy :)

Enjoying The Last Little Bit of Fall

We decided to get one more hot dog roast in before the weather got too cold. We went with Grandma Hamilton and my brother Matt's family. We had such a great time. Liz picked an awesome spot that we have never been to. It is up South Fork. It was so beautiful. It is right at the base of the mountain so there is hiking trails, a stream right through the picnic area, and lots of open grassy areas to play. It was perfect! It was a little cold, but the kids still took off their shoes and socks and waded in the water. They are crazy!! I can't wait to use this spot in the summer, the kids will love it!

The only thing I did not like about this spot, is that there were no fire pits :(. Uncle Matt just built the fire in the grill. It worked great :).

If Dawson and Jada look like their hair is pink, it is because Dawson wanted to color his hair with the Halloween hair color spray. Jada got in on the fun, and colored hers also.

I am glad that we got in one more perfect fall hot dog roast! It was so especially fun, because we don't get to do too many things with Grandma and Matt's family. They are so much fun!! Luv ya guys :)

Halloween 2010....

We had such a great Halloween! Our kids looked awesome, and we only had to buy Dax and Jada's costumes. Brayden borrowed all the motocross gear from his cousin, and Dawson got his costume for Christmas last year. The weather wasn't too bad, although I guess we could have done without the drizzling rain. Even with the rain the kids managed to get ALOT of candy. Jada took Dawson trick or treating this year :). He stayed out the whole time with her, I was so surprised. The went for about 2 1/2 hours. It was fun to hang out at home with Dave to pass out candy. Daxton went trick or treating for about 15 min., just long enough to fill his pockets! I was glad Dax still wanted to go for a little bit. Dave told him he was too old to go, and told Jada this was her last year :(. Jada was so upset. I told Dave we do not set limits on when childhood should end! I say if a teenager is willing to dress up and go trick or treating, that is just fine with me. Let them be a kid as long as they want!!

Poor Dawson... I am a great mom, and left his mask at Grandma's house after the Halloween party. So Dawson had to go trick or treating without it. You pretty much couldn't tell what he was since he was wearing a coat :(.

Jada and her friend Savanna wanted to be twins for Halloween, so we turned them into twin witches! They looked so cute together :).

I asked Dawson for one of his treats, but he did not want to give me one. However... he was happy to share one with me. He didn't want to break it in half, he told me to bite one end and he would bite the other :). Thanks for sharing Dawson!

Brayden came home later than the others, and I about died. He probably got over 300 pieces of candy... I know our dentist would be happy about this :(. Brayden was so excited!! He would not even dump it out so I could get a picture. So I had to just take a picture of his bag. This picture does not do justice for how much candy he got.

I am finally worn out from all the Halloween partying!

Grandma's Awesome Halloween Party!!

Matt's Family, Becky's Family, Marlene's Family, Grandma & Us

Grandma had such a great Halloween Party! It was just lots of good, good food and family. Parties don't get better than that. We have the BEST Grandma EVER!! She made Chili, Potato Soup, Donuts, Crackers and Cheese, and Apple Juice. All of the food was homemade and did I mention DELICIOUS! Oh and did I mention she is the BEST Grandma EVER... Thanks Grandma!

Wow... that is all I can say about these donuts!

I guess I shouldn't mention that I ate about 6 of them :/

Matt's family had a foreign exchange student with them. His name was to hard to say, so Weston nicknamed him Taco. Right before we took this picture, Becky yelled wait! She wanted to stand by Taco for the picture!! Becky is so funny, she always is making me laugh :)

Taylor had the best costume out of anyone... he was James :). James just left on his mission a few days before Halloween, so Taylor wore all of James funny clothes that James loved so much! He also struck a pose that James would have... on the ground in the front. Ahh... we miss James sooo much.
