Day 4
(Grand Cayman)
When we got to Grand Cayman, Liz and I were pretty disappointed. It didn't look all lush and green and beautiful as we expected. It was actually pretty dirty, and just a bunch of shopping. This was our least favorite island. The guys had a diving excursion planned this day. So Liz and I went by ourselves to just explore. We rented a scooter and went around the island. Liz wanted to get two scooters, but I was to nervous to drive so we just got one. While we were exploring on the scooter it started pouring rain. We stopped and got under a pavilion at the beach to wait it out. After about 20 min. I decided to take off my white skirt so it didn't get ruined with mud splatters, and we went riding in the rain. It didn't rain for too much longer thank goodness. We met up with the guys later for a bit of shopping and lunch, then headed back to the ship.
This is the boats that tendered us to shore. They were actually not little they held about 50 people, but look how small it looks next to our ship. Here are pictures of us being tendered over:
We stopped at the beach to get some pictures. The beach here was not so sandy, and this was supposedly their best beach. It was fun for pictures.
Our next stop was HELL! Literally I mean Hell. It was a little town named Hell. When I say little, I mean little. It had a few homes, a school, a post office, and a gift shop. They call it Hell because there is this huge lava bed. The lava formed in spikes, so it just has a viewing spot, and they put some statues of devils out by it.
This is a restaurant we ate lunch at. Well the guys ate a turtle burger. Thats right, they breed turtles here for meat. Liz and I would not touch it. Once again, I had a chocolate shake! When we got off the ship this day they told us it would be a busy day in port. There were six other cruise ships in port at the same time. It really was busy.
There were a number of these hotties around town!
They had a big luau party on the deck. They had all kinds of really awesome food. They made the food look like animals, etc. It was amazing, so I had to get some pictures. They also had ice sculptures.
This was definitely another GREAT day!! It seemed like each day just kept getting better and better :)
