Well it finally happened.... my baby turned 3 yrs old. I am a little late on posting his birthday. He turned 3 on March 7th. I am having very mixed feelings about this. I will admit it is a very exciting thought to be finished changing diapers, but I am so sad that my baby is so big. He is changing so much every day. It is amazing to me how fast time goes. It feels like just yesterday I was at the hospital giving birth to him. I am so grateful Dawson is in our family. He is such a fun guy. (Dawson & Mommy)
Some things that I love about Dawson are:
1. He is very funny (Always makes me laugh)
2. He is very cuddly (Always rubs my arms and face while we rock)
3. His vampire teeth (His smile wouldn't be the same without them)
4. How fast a Binky and Blanket will stop a fit!!
5. How he always gives me a kiss when I fake dead
6. How he says "Thank You" all the time
7. How he says "b" instead of "v" (I lub you mommy)
8. How he comes to my rescue when Dave and I wrestle
9. How he immediately asks for a piece of gum after nursery (I bribe him with gum so he will go, and he never forgets)
10. Last but not least that his fits are fewer and farther between...Yah!!
Anyway, a little about his 3rd birthday. We celebrated 2 day late. Dawson wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday (even though that is what we did for his 2nd). I was not about to go to that place on a Saturday. So we celebrated Monday March 9th. We had a great time, but I must admit Dave was more than ready to leave after 2 hours (okay...I'll admit it I was also ready). Dawson absolutely loved it. He even rode rides and played games this time. He loved skeeball. That is pretty much the only game he played. The ball would not quite make it and roll back most of the time. Aunt Becky finally showed him to climb up on the game and then drop the ball in. It was so funny.
When it came time for presents, Dawson went crazy. He would tear open a present and quickly grab the next. He went through quite a few presents in just minutes. Dawson had a monster truck birthday, and got a few monster trucks, a powered four wheeler, a wii game, and a few other presents. Aunt Becky is just sure his most favorite present was the gun she got him from the dollar store (Dawson LOVES guns). Dawson was excited that Grandma Hamilton, Aunt Becky, Elora and Taylor were able to come with us for his party.
I just want Dawson to know how much I love him. He is getting to be such a little man. I love how strong willed he is, even if it is very frustrating sometimes. He makes me laugh all the time, just like his dad.
Happy Birthday Dawson!!!
