The Next Bob Ross...

November 6, 2013
Here's the next Bob Ross...
Remember that guy with the fro, that used to paint on TV?  You know the one that would whisper about what he was doing while he was painting landscapes?
 Yep, this is the guy...
Well, here is Bob's protege :).
Daxton never stops creating.  He just gets an idea in his head and goes.  He decided he wanted to try painting.  So he went and bought himself a canvas and some paint. Then he asked if we had an easel. Sorry buddy, no easel here :(.  So what does he do...  He walks into the garage, and 20 minutes later he comes in with an easel!  What the heck???  He just built himself an easel with junk he found around the garage :).   I don't know where our kids get all their creativity from, but I know its not from Dave and I.
He sat down with all his new tools...
And, BAM...
He has created a masterpiece!!
This kid never ceases to amaze me :)
Dax, I am sure you have made Grandpa Hamilton proud!!

Happy Halloween 2013...

October 31, 2013

Happy Halloween!!!  I started the day off right, by dressing up like Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty.  I think I made some of the kids nervous, because they didn't know for sure if it was me :).  We ended up having the perfect day.  The weather especially was amazing!  Dawson only wore a light jacket and was fine.

Our cute little Banana, ready to head off trick or treating...
Jada 15 yrs old and Arienne
The two cutest twin nerds you ever did see...
Jada, Sage and Arienne
Brayden 13 years old
Brayden as Phil off of Duck Dynasty...
Brayden, Jacob, Eric and Brighton
Brayden wasn't going to go trick or treating this year because his friends weren't going to go.  I finally talked them all into going at the last minute.  I am so glad they went, since it could have been their last year to go.  I think after seeing how much candy they got, that they were glad they went :).
Ryan, Ollie, Dawson, Elliott and Shawn
Best buddies heading off on their Halloween adventure...

They couldn't go fast enough...
Of course they had to get a treat from our house :)

I loved our front porch this year.  Dave got so into Halloween with a fog machine and masks on posts in the bushes.  Also, he had spooky sounds playing.  It really scared some of the smaller trick or treaters.
Dave had the pleasure of passing out the candy :)
Brayden came home, and changed his costume to a black shirt and an Alien mask.  Here are all his friends ready to head off to get lots of treats.
Becky, Me, Taylor, Kennedi, Marlene and Devani
Becky and Marlene and her kids came to hang out, and trick or treat in our neighborhood.  Becky was the Chinese New Year (so creative), Taylor was a Ninja, Kennedi was a Crossing Guard, Marlene wore a sombrero, and Devani was a maid.
What a scarey bunch...
Me and my honey...
Notice my I love Si shirt :)
Next visitors...
The cute little Byington Family,
They looked so awesome as a Shark Diving Team!!
There has never been a cuter shark :)
Taylor always has an awesome face for one of my pictures :)
Taylor, Elora, and Nixon
We sure do love these guys!!

So glad they came trick or treating to Aunt Missy and Uncle Dave's :)
Granny Becky had to do a little photo shoot with the cutest, littlest trick or treater :)
Dax 17 yrs old
Poor Dax had to work, but they could dress up.  Do you like his costume?  Do you know what he is? Yep, he is the pro wakeboarder Shawn Watson :).  It was the perfect costume for his long curly hair.
I wanted a picture of Dawson and Taylor together, and this is how they made me take it...
Taylor is pretending to eat Dawson :)

I made homemade pizza, and cream cheese pumpkin bites.  Then we all watched our new favorite show "The Neighbors" (the episode Challowenika was awesome).  Like I said, it was a perfect Halloween!  Great weather, plenty of fun visitors, good food and lots of candy.

Another Halloween Parade!!!

October 31, 2013
Ollie, Dawson, Lincoln, and Elliott
Heading off to school with our awesome neighbors for the big Halloween Parade...

Another Halloween Parade!!!  Only one kid still in elementary :(.  I was able to get off of work and go to Dawson's Second grade Halloween Parade and Class party.  My little guy sure made a cute Banana :).  Dawson wanted to be a banana so bad for Halloween.  So one day I checked him out of school early, and we went on a special in search of a banana costume and out to lunch.  He was so excited when I checked him out (he had no idea I was going to).  He kept saying, "you are the best mom in the whole world!"  Plus he was so excited because Nixon came with us since I was babysitting.  His reaction was well worth taking him out of school early :)
Here he comes...
Can you spot my cute banana???
I was dressed up in my Halloween costume, because I came straight from crossing guard.  He was so upset that I would be coming in my costume.  I promised him that no one would know I was his mom, because no one could tell it was me.
Me as Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty...
Can you tell it is me?  I don't think Dawson had anything to worry about :).  However I did promise him that I would not wear it to his class party.  He thought no one knew who Uncle Si or Duck Dynasty is, so he was embarrassed.  Boy was he wrong, there were about 20 kids dressed up like one of the Duck Dynasty people in the parade.  Plus, tons of people told me I looked awesome, and what a great costume ;).
Dawson the Banana & Miss Olive a cute Minion...
What a good boy, patiently waiting for his class party to begin.  His teachers always tell me what a good kid he is, and that they wish they could clone him.  Ahh, just what a mom wants to hear :).
Dawson thought his friend looked sooo cool with these contacts in...
Hard at work on his skeleton picture...
The party is a success, he is giving us the thumbs up :)
Playing ghost bowling...
Finally, the ever popular decorating sugar cookies...
There is nothing better than being a mom!!  So glad I got to spend time with my baby banana at a time that is important and exciting to him :).  I sure do love you Dawson!!!
