The big day finally arrived...Prom!!

March 15, 2013
The big day finally arrived...Prom!!  I am still a little freaked out that I have a son old enough to be dating, and going to prom.  I just don't feel old enough to be at this point in my life, but here I am, and here he goes...

Dax looked so good in his tux.  He is such a stylin' guy :).

 And he's off...

Just to go get Nick :).  The girls were both over at Nick's dates house, so he went to grab Nick to go get the girls.  Lucky for us Nick's date is our neighbor, so we walked to her house to go get pictures :).
Dax forgot his dates corsage, so we brought it with us.  We didn't want to bring it to her, so we left it out on their front porch on their candy machines for Dax to grab and bring in :).

The girls finally emerged from the basement ready for their first Prom...
They looked so cute!
 The boys finally showed up...
lookin GQ, and ready to go!!
 So excited...

Getting ready for the hardest part of the evening...
 pinning on the boutonnieres!
This is never easy, but the girls did great without any help :).

 Oh so many pictures...

 Two beautiful girls...

 Two handsome guys...
 Striking a James Bond pose...

Dax and Nick love James Bond, so what better pose :)
The whole neighborhood turned out for the big event...
It was so funny to see so many people.

Okay, now they are really off :)
What good boys opening the doors for their dates,
they have been taught well :)

 The awesome Dad's...
now we see where these boys learned to strike a pose :)
 The awesome Mom's...
we just wanted to follow and stalk them on their date :)
Daxton and Morgan

Well we thought we were done with pictures, but Dax called to tell us to come take more pictures.  I knew they wanted us on their date with them.  They just couldn't leave us :).  Just kidding, the school had 3 different back drops set up for pictures for parents.  It was awesome!
 Nick and Quinn

What an awesome group of kids!!!

 It's a fight :)...

Okay, finally... they are really off!!
In a limo!!
Just kidding, this limo was driving past them so we thought it would be funny to get a picture that looked like it was for them.  We are so funny :).

They had a great time, and made some fun memories!  I guess I just need to come to terms with the fact that I am getting old :(.  Just have to say this one more time... WOW, Daxton looks good in a tux!!  Luv ya Dax.

Ughhhh, whats next?

January 31, 2013
Ughhhh, what's next?  There is always something going on at school, that requires much thought and work on the parents part.  I know I am a horrible parent for being frustrated, but ughhhh.  So it was 100's Day at school today for Dawson, and his teachers said the kids could dress up like an old person if they wanted to.  Unfortunately for Dawson, I am not very creative. This is what we came up with :).
Here is my cute, little, old man...
1st Grade
He had the idea that he wanted to write something on a shirt, so I let him decide what he wanted the shirt to say.  I was trying so hard not to laugh when he said, "I am so old I only have one bone in my body".  I kept asking if there was something different we should put on it, but he was positive this is what he wanted it to say :).  Luckily we had some suspenders in our Halloween costumes.  I tried to put a little pillow in his shirt so he had a belly.  It looked so cute, but Dawson would not do it. It was a little to much out of his comfort zone.  Actually I was surprised he even wanted to dress up.  He gets extremely nervous about anything that deviates from normal :)  My awesome neighbor gave me the great idea to put cornstarch in his hair.
Wow, I am one awesome parent!!!
NOT....
Oh well, I gave it my best shot, and he seemed happy enough with the results.

My Boys Are Crazy...

 January 12, 2013
My boys are crazy!!!  We are having below normal temperatures, and they decide to go ice fishing :(  Crazy right??  The temperature is only 16 degrees.  You wouldn't ever find me out there, but they loved it :).  I guess that is all that matters.  Don't judge this picture by its looks.... they really were dang excited to go.  Dawson was just mad because Brayden wouldn't let him hold his rod.

They are so dang cute!!
 They survived!!!
They were gone for 3 hours, and came home still smiling after freezing their you know whats off :).  They loved it, and want to go again.  Like I said my CRAZY boys :)
